Five injured as taxi, car collide on N2 at Toti

Five people were injured when a car rear-ended a taxi on the N2 south bound in Amanzimtoti on Wednesday morning, 6 April.

FIVE people were injured when a car rear-ended a taxi on the N2 south bound in Amanzimtoti on Wednesday morning, 6 April.
ER24 paramedics arrived to find both the taxi and car in the left-hand lane of the freeway. Several taxi passengers were found walking around at the scene.

“After paramedics assessed the patients, it was found that five had sustained minor to moderate injuries. They were treated for their injuries and transported to nearby hospitals for further treatment,” said ER24’s Russel Meiring.

The exact cause of the collision is not yet known, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
