Colour run comes to South Coast

THE inaugural Colour Adventure 2017 is set to take place at the Rocky Bay Resort trails near Park Rynie on Saturday, 8 April.

THE inaugural Colour Adventure 2017 is set to take place at the Rocky Bay Resort trails near Park Rynie on Saturday, 8 April.

Walkers, runners and mountain bike riders are invited to join in the the KZN South Coast based event.

The event is run by the Dutch Reformed Church and all proceeds from the day will go towards local charities. With distances and divisions to appeal to everyone, including a 4km family fun walk where everyone from a toddler on a push bike to the elderly, can participate. This event kicks off at 8.30am with a R50 entry fee for adults and R20 for children.

There will then be a 6km run/walk for more serious athletes, starting at 8.15am, the entry fee being R50 per person.

Appealing to all mountain bikers from experienced riders to beginners, the spectacular 19km mountain bike trail will start at 8am. Entry costs R100 per rider.

All routes will be well marked and presented by marshals, and participants will be showered with powdered paint at three different places along the route to ensure they return looking more colourful than exhausted.

A water pot sponsored by R&M Construction will ensure that all participants stay hydrated throughout their day.

Pre-registration is open at the NG Kerk in Scottburgh, Scottburgh Wimpy and the Woodpark Nursery.
