Two housebreakers were apprehended by the CCPO

Two housebreakers were apprehended by the Community Crime Prevention Organisation (CCPO) after they broke into a Nelson Road premises on Monday morning, 3 April.

According to CCPO committee member, George Snodey, they received a report about a housebreaking in progress.

“When the CCPO and Blue Security vehicle arrived at the premises, the suspects were still in the house,” said Snodey.

One window was broken and when the one housebreaker tried to exit, he was apprehended by CCPO and Blue Security patrol officer, Mbuyiselo ‘Triple M’ Mdunjane.

“Back-up arrived and the house was surrounded. The remaining suspect smashed another window to try to escape, but he was quickly apprehended by Triple M as he hit the ground,” said Snodey.

Senior supervisor Rupert Smit and his two crewmen were fortunately able to get to the premises quickly to assist in blocking all sides of the house to make escape almost impossible.

The other good news apart from the arrest of the two housebreakers is that the homeowners are CCPO clients and they got their money’s worth today.”
