The league officially kicks off with a tournament on 25 March

Exciting times lie ahead for popular soccer team, Isipingo Legends as they make their debut in the highly competitive KZN Golden Oldies over 50 soccer league.

The league officially kicks off with a tournament at Phoenix on 25 March where an array of star players will be displaying their football skills.

The league boasts teams from Umlazi, Inanda, KwaMashu, Durban Central, Reservoir Hills, Phoenix and Chatsworth. The Legends have officials and supporters that are buoyant and upbeat about the challenges that lie ahead and the players are training hard under coaches Ayoub Adam and Tariq Khan.

Judging by the success enjoyed by Isipingo Soccer Legends in years gone by, the team is confident they should hold their own in the league.

Players who featured in teams like Colleens, Malabar, Protea Power and Lincoln City are unfazed by the hype and are confident of taking the league by storm with their enterprising style of play. The Isipingo team hopes to make a statement with some impressive performances in their first year. CEO Ronnie Vengan together with Mark Gounder, manager Norman Naicker and assistant Bull Govender hope the supporters stand behind the team in their quest for league glory. Soccer Legends’ management expressed their sincere appreciation to Ganny Govender for his generous support over the years.
