Get your puck in for ice hockey try-out

Other than physical activity, improved co-ordination, strength, flexibility and reflexes that playing this sport offers, ice hockey also develops one's skating, agility and dexterity

WHILE living at the tip of Africa normally means participating in sweltering outdoor sports that take place in the sun, the opportunity is available to play ice hockey locally.

The DurbaKnights Ice Hockey Club hosts an open try-out session at Galleria Ice Rink on Wednesday, 15 March from 6pm to 7pm for anyone who would like to try their hand at this exciting sport.

To attend, register your interest online at www.durbaknights.wordpress.com

Other than physical activity, improved co-ordination, strength, flexibility and reflexes that playing this sport offers, ice hockey also develops one’s skating, agility and dexterity skills. Players learn to work as a team towards a common goal and develop strong communication and listening skills.Practises take place on Sundays (Galleria) from 7.30am to 9.30am, Mondays (Durban Ice Arena) 6pm to 7pm and Wednesdays for games (Galleria) from 6pm to 7pm.

Club members are registered with KwaZulu-Natal Ice Hockey Association (KZNIHA) as well as with the South African Ice Hockey Association (SAIHA).
