One hurt in Kingsway crash

The collision involved a bakkie and delivery vehicle.

ONE man was injured in a crash on Kingsway this morning, 8 March at about 11.20am.

Netcare 911 and the fire department responded to the scene.

“Reports indicate that a bakkie was traveling north and had stopped to turn into the Engen garage when a delivery vehicle crashed into it,” said Netcare 911 media liaison, Chris Botha.

“Paramedics found the bakkie stationary in the garage entrance. The delivery vehicle had overturned on impact and came to rest on its side about 100 metres from the point of impact.

After the vehicle occupants were examined, it was found that only the delivery vehicle driver had sustained minor injuries. He was treated at the scene before they transported him to a local hospital.”
