Motorcyclist hospitalised after Warner Beach taxi crash

The female motorcyclist suffered an extreme concussion

A MOTORCYCLIST has been hospitalised after sustaining moderate injuries, in an accident with a taxi along Kingway in Warner Beach this morning.

The taxi turned out of the tearoom parking lot opposite to Baggies and collided with the motorcyclist at about 8.30am.

The taxi driver said he didn’t see the motorcyclist travelling towards him, heading north. When he turned out and the motorcycle collided with his vehicle. The female motorcyclist suffered an extreme concussion after hitting the right side of the vehicle head-first.

“The motorcyclist suffered an extreme concussion, recalling very little of the accident and was rushed to hospital,” said Netcare911’s Chris Botha. “The taxi driver claimed he didn’t see the oncoming motorcycle.”

Netcare911 and ER24 arrived at the scene moments after it happened. The concussed motorcyclist was rushed to hospital immediately.
