Man cut free from car after late-night Toti crash

Firemen and paramedics responded just after 11pm to the head-on collision involving two vehicles between Amanzimtoti police station and Fynn Road

A man had to be cut free from his car after a late-night collision along Adams Road on Saturday, 4 March.

Netcare 911 paramedics responded after 11pm to the head-on collision involving two vehicles between Amanzimtoti police station and Fynn Road.

The cause of the crash and preceding events are speculative and will be investigated by police.

Paramedics found three people had been seriously injured, one of whom was still trapped in the twisted frame of his car. While firemen used the jaws of life to free the injured, paramedics stabilised the patients.

The three seriously wounded patients, two men and a woman, were transported to hospital.
