Man sustains multiple stab wounds in Beach Road attack

Medics stabilised and immobilised him due to concerns about possible spinal injuries

A MAN was hospitalised after being stabbed on Beach Road last night (Friday, 25 February).

VEMA paramedics and ER24 were called at about 8.45pm to treat the man who was found lying on his stomach with serious injuries resulting from multiple stab wounds.

Reports from the scene were that the man had been confronted by two other men who immediately began attacking and stabbing him to the ground.

Due to possible spinal injuries, ER24 advanced life support paramedics stabilised and fully immobilised him. He was transported to a provincial hospital for treatment.

Police will investigate the the attack.
