Pedestrian stabbed with broken bottle by cell thief

The men took his cellphones valued at R5,700.

A man was stabbed in the arm and robbed of cellphones by two men on Beach Road on Friday, 17 February.

“The victim was walking with friends near Pipeline Beach when he was accosted by two unknown men at about 7pm,” said Amanzimtoti SAPS communication officer, Captain Charlene van der Spuy.

“He was threatened with a knife, pushed to the ground and stabbed in the arm with a broken bottle.”

The men took his cellphones valued at R5,700 and fled the scene.

A case of robbery is being investigated by Amanzimtoti detectives.
