Afchop challenge to fund hockey tour

The hockey players will host the event, as a fundraiser towards their cost for the first team hockey tour to Bethlehem

KUSWAG School’s first team hockey girls are gearing up to host the ‘2017 Kuswag Afchop’ event this Human Rights Day on Tuesday, 21 March.

The hockey players will host the event, which calls for both mental and physical endurance as a fundraiser towards their cost for the first team hockey tour to Bethlehem in early April.

The Kuswag Afchop will take place on the school grounds, with the first group’s event kicking off bright and early at 7am. The course will consist of various obstacles set up over a 5km fun run, putting both stamina and determination to the test. The event can be entered as a single participant or as a team. Walls, monkey bars, slides, rat races, swimming pool crossings, spiderwebs and tire stacking are some of the many exciting challenges set out for the participants. The entrance fee is R50 and while keen Afchoppers are able to enter an hour before their desired event time on the day, the school recommends entering online as soon as possible, allowing the participants to book the event time best suited to them. An entry form with all the participant or team’s details must be completed and entry fee paid into the account to confirm your spot.

Any inquiries can be sent to kuswagafchop@gmail.com or call 083-784-8011.

The Kuswag Afchop promises to be a fun and exciting challenge for all different members of the community and if entered as a team, great team-building benefits are sure to be reaped.
