Burglar nabbed in isipingo

The housebreaker was in possession of stolen items.

A notorious housebreaker was nabbed in Isipingo Beach on Sunday afternoon, 22 January.

The man was collared as a result of a joint effort between Alpha Alarms tactical unit and Isipingo Beach Crime Prevention Forum (CPF) .

The housebreaker was in possession of stolen items from a home on Amilcar Cabral Road (Bellevue Road) and he is alleged to be linked to a burglary that occurred on Dick King Avenue on Thursday, 19 January.

He was handed over to police who are investigating the cases.

Spokesman for Alpha Alarms, Seshin Govender said: “In reviewing our stats, we have noticed a spike in crime in the Isipingo vicinity.

It is pleasing to note, however that members of the CPF are pro-active in the fight against crime.

By forming partnerships with various stakeholders in the community, positive results leading to arrests and recoveries are being yielded.

All members involved in the apprehension of the housebreaker are commended for their good work.”
