Swift action saves four-year-old at Isipingo swimming pool

The lifeguards had acted quickly to pull the child out of the water and so prevented a tragic situation, according to Netcare 911

THE swift action of lifeguards saved the life of a four-year-old child on Sunday afternoon, 15 January at Dakota Beach in Isipingo.

Just after 5pm, Netcare 911 paramedics responded to the beach where the child had disappeared under the water in the swimming pool.

The lifeguards had acted quickly to pull the child out of the water and so prevented a tragic situation, according to Netcare 911.

Paramedics said the child displayed near drowning symptoms. The boy was treated at the scene before being transporting to a nearby hospital.
