SATURDAY, 7 JANUARY: Birdlife Port Natal visits Bluff Nature Reserve with Elena Russell from 7am. An entrance fee is payable but entry is free with a Wild Card or Golden Rhino card. Take your chair, drinks and snacks for a picnic tea afterwards. Buds on the Bay for lunch is a possibility for those interested. Contact Elena Russell on 031-705-2902.

WEDNESDAY, 11 JANUARY: Birdlife Port Natal’s usual monthly indoor meeting from 7pm at Westville Methodist Church. Guest speaker Mark Liptrot talks on plastics and pollution. Call Lesley Frescura on 083-231-3408.

 

THURSDAY, 12 JANUARY: How about a New Year’s resolution to join the full moon beach walk every month? The January walk starts at 6pm. from Baggies Beach (Warner Beach) to Winkle Beach and back. This is an easy twilight stroll so go along and enjoy. Direct enquiries to Karin on 083-441-4209.

 

WEDNESDAY, 25 JANUARY: 21 Club January lunch to be held at Lords and Legends conference room at noon for 12.30pm. Speaker Carolyn Borchard will present ‘nuts about Brazil’, a personal travelogue. SATURDAY, 4 FEBRUARY: Free diabetes testing offered by the Lions Club of Kingsburgh resumes after the December and January break. These testing sessions take place on the first Saturday of every month at Pick ’n Pay Arbour Crossing from 10am until noon. For more information, call Sandy on 082-466-6480.
