School lauds its achievers

The ceremony is held to honour all pupils who achieve excellent results in academics.

Kamalinee Primary School held a prestigious awards ceremony on Tuesday, 6 December at Lotus Park Community Hall.

The ceremony is held to honour all pupils who achieve excellent results in the various academic categories.

“Our school has performed at various levels and we are extremely proud that our pupils have achieved glory in our district, province and even at national level,” said Kamalinee principal, Jagatheesan Naidoo.

“The highlight of the event was the awarding of our special awards.”

The dux award was won by Lwandile Dlamini.

Runner-up to the dux was won by Janisha Parsotam and Joash Mahipath won the good fellowship award.

The final grade 7 special award was the principal’s commendation award, won by Josh Corban Chetty.

The school has also instituted a junior dux award which is presented to the grade 3 pupil with the highest overall score and this was won by Khadija Thayab.
