Savour the sweetness of Sapphire Coast

What is so special about the Sapphire Coast? “Wide, clean, golden, sandy beaches as well as good value for money accommodation.”

PACK a sense of adventure in your bag when you visit the Sapphire Coast.

Monique Botha, chairman of Sapphire Coast Tourism (SCT), the local Community Tourism Organisation (CTO) says there is something for everyone who visits.

“I love the relaxed vibe and friendly people. Within our 42km radius there is so much to enjoy – whether it is shopping in Galleria, relaxing in the parks, enjoying a game of sport at Hutchison Park, or diving with sharks in Umkomaas – we have it all.”

As chairman of the NPO tasked with publicising and marketing the Sapphire Coast as a prime tourist, business and residential destination, she is an expert on where to go and what to do.

Besides the seven essential stops listed alongside, Monique says the area’s best kept secrets are horse riding with Gary’s Horses along the beach and visiting the Nungwane Waterfall, which can only be accessed by 4x4s.
