CCPO pegs clothes thieves

A patrolling guard became suspicious when he saw the two men selling clothing.

Two clothes thieves were nabbed by the Community Crime Prevention Organisation (CCPO) while attempting to sell their ill-gotten wares at Toti main beach on Tuesday afternoon, 8 November.

CCPO committee member, George Snodey said a patrolling guard became suspicious when he saw the two men selling clothing in the parking lot at about 3pm.

“After questioning them about where they got the clothing, he wasn’t satisfied with their explanation and called for assistance,” said Snodey.

CCPO and Blue Security patrol officer, Mbuyiselo ‘Triple M’ Mdunjane arrived to assist and after some thorough questioning, the men took the CCPO back to Shelley Court in Toti where they had stolen the clothing.

The men were taken to Toti SAPS where they were detained.
