Two more adorable dogs need forever homes

There are still two very special little dogs that still need homes.

Amanzimtoti SPCA held an incredibly successful adoption day on Saturday, 1 October.

There were seven adoptions and visitors to the animal organisation enjoyed tucking into delicious cupcakes donated by local bakers and breakfast rolls partially sponsored by Makro.

There was delicious coffee on sale and lots of new friendships were made.

“Toti SPCA thanks everyone who contributed in making this day such a success,” said PRO Sarah-Jane Bow.

Despite the success of the adoption day, there are still two very special little dogs that still need homes.

One of them is a delightful maltese bitch that has oodles of personality and is very bright and intelligent. “The SPCA even gave her a hair cut as she was quite scruffy when she first came in.”

The second one is a cross-corgi male, who loves walking on the lead and playing with squeaky toys. “However, he is not very fond of cats.

If you would like to meet these two little movie-star dogs, pop into the SPCA in Athlone Park during the week from 9am to 3pm or on a Saturday from 8.30am until noon.

A property check costs R100 and the adoption fee of either of these two dogs will only be R550, which includes sterilisation, innoculations and de-worming.”

This Saturday, 8 October is also the Toti SPCA collection day, so keep a look out for volunteers shaking tins and make your donation.

The SPCA is running quite low on tinned dog food, so when doing your grocery shopping consider buying a few tins and dropping them off in the collection bins at Pick n Pay Arbour Centre or at Kingsburgh, or at Galleria Nu Metro which is running a food collection promotion for the children’s movie ‘The Secret Life of Pets’.

Alternatively take your donations to the SPCA.

“Toti SPCA thanks all of its animal-loving supporters for being so kind and generous to the animals in our care, said Jane.”
