Death of Rob Sutherland

Rob will be remembered as a fun-loving, kind-hearted and well-respected gentleman.

Rob Sutherland (82) died on Thursday, 15 September.

Rob was born in then Rhodesia.

He met his wife Lyn in Pietermartizburg and they married in 1966.

The couple moved to Toti in February 1968.

In 1978 he started his business Homecrete Precast Fencing, which he ran until his illness forced him to retire at the age of 75.

“Rob will be remembered as a fun-loving, kind-hearted and well-respected gentleman,” said Lyn.

Rob was a member of the Kingsburgh Tennis Club and Amanzimtoti Bowling Club. He coached blind bowlers, including his father.

He is survived by a daughter, three grandchildren, Nicola, Dean and Clinton, and great granddaughter, McKenna.

A memorial service for Rob takes place at St Winifreds Methodist Church in Warner Beach on Tuesday, 27 September at 11.30am.
