A REMINDER for residents to attend the Community Crime Prevention Organisation special general meeting, with a view to clarifying decisions that have been made in recent months.
The meeting takes place next Tuesday, 30 August at 6pm.
“Over the past few months, various statements were made on social media and in the South Coast Sun regarding the CCPO and its operations,” reads a statement released by CCPO director/treasurer, Louise Marais.
The directors and management committee have decided to call a special general meeting of members, to inform members of the reasons behind recent committee decisions. Members will be given an opportunity to ask questions.
The committee also sought to clarify that the guarding contract which was in place was terminated due to the service provider not having the required PSIRA registration and other legal compliance requirements necessitated by law. Alternative management of the guarding section of the operations has been secured.
