Cash in transit van crashes off N2 in downpour

One man who was hospitalized, sustained minor injuries

A cash in transit vehicle left the N2 in the downpour at about 10am on Saturday morning, 20 August.

Netcare 911 paramedics responded to the collision on the N2 southbound at Umgababa.

It is understood the vehicle left the roadway in heavy rain, before it came to rest several metres into the grass verge, its left side wedged against a bush.

Paramedics found one man had sustained minor injuries. They treated him at the scene before transporting him to a nearby hospital.
