Toti Parkrun volunteers for the day
Saturday, 6 August heralded a crisp winter’s day for participants and spectators alike, as they celebrated the second birthday of the Amanzimtoti Parkrun.
The morning started off with a buzz of excitement, as the organisers set up, made announcements, thanked the sponsors and handed out awards and congratulations where due.
Neil Carroll and Ryno Nothnagel were both recognised for having run their 50th Parkrun.
Volunteers were awarded and thanked for their invaluable contribution

First man through the scanner was Kuswag learner Sylvinio Lynnerts, and first woman home was Caylee Ellero. Both were thrilled with their awesome prizes.

Rena Brijlal, Sohana Hansrajh and Ashwin Brijlal successfully completed their second parkrun. They said it was much easier than the first time
Parkrun is a weekly event, there is no charge, and all are welcome. It starts at Toti main beach, in front of Spur and sees participants run or walk a 5km loop to the lagoon and back as well as a leg out north and back via the beach. Register online at www.parkrun.co.za
