Car show stalls help fund 4 Paws

The 4 Paws committee thanks everyone who supported the stalls and raffles.

4 Paws and a Tale had two stands at the Scottburgh Classic Car Show on Sunday, 17 July.

The day started out bleak and rainy, but this did not deter the team from setting up early in the morning.

Then everyone waited with an eye on the sky, willing the rain to stop. This it did, at 10 am, and from then on business was brisk at the hot dog and cooldrink stall.

Two raffles were popular, one being a pamper hamper for a special pooch, and the other a BBQ/skottel combo gas braai. The pamper hamper was won by Olivia Symcox-Jones who has many special pooches, as she fosters rescue dogs for 4 Paws and is also a committee member.

The braai was won by Mr Kim Hammond from Westville, an avid supporter of the car show every year and also a keen animal lover.

The second stall sold items of bric-a-brac from the two Tale End Charity shops and it did very well. A big thank you for all the donations given in at the charity shops.

The 4 Paws committee thanks everyone who supported the stalls and raffles. Thank you to Cadac and Action for Blind and Disabled Children who donated the braai to be raffled and drawn. A special thank you to the teenage volunteers at the hot dog stand – it was lovely to see young people get involved.
