Mark Mandela Day in your community

Spend 67 minutes of your day to support those less fortunate

EXCITEMENT is mounting at the Domino Foundation for this year’s Mandela Day initiative on Monday, 18 July.

“We have put together some action-packed activities to help you celebrate Mandela Day and spend your 67 minutes serving your local community,” said the foundation’s Megan Rich.

“The mission is simple: Spend 67 minutes of your day to support those less fortunate. We will provide three action stations, each designed to assist our community in a multitude of ways.

We have allocated 60-minute time slots per station ranging from 9am to 2pm throughout the day. Simply choose an action station, select a desired time slot, gather the required items and attend our Mandela Day festivities at Seadoone Mall.”

Email Cheryl to book a time slot at feedingtoti@domino.org.za.

Once you have completed your 60-minute activity, you are invited to join the foundation for refreshments and use your remaining seven minutes to get to know more about the foundation and the good work it is doing. “We would love to connect with you,” said Megan.

Together we can make a difference

“If you are unable to join us at our event, but would still like to get involved, we will run collection drives leading up to Mandela Day for project-needed items. A donation station will be set up where you can drop off these items and spare clothes, blankets, shoes and groceries over and above your chosen activity. Clean out your cupboards, run drives at your office, get your colleagues to do the same and bring along some extra donations before or on the day. Together we can make a difference.”
