[PHOTOS] SPCA buoyed by support for music event

We were overwhelmed with the support from the local community.

The Toti public came out in full force to support the SPCA’s fundraiser Music by the River on Sunday, 29 May.

“We were overwhelmed with the support from the local community at Sunday’s Music by the River, proudly sponsored by KFC,” said organiser, Lisa Warner of Carbon Pixie. “It was a great success with the five bands performing to their best and serenading the happy crowd of 600 as they relaxed in the sun. It was fantastic to see children running around, chasing giant birds on stilts, hula hooping and jumping all day.

We have so many people to thank, from the Lions for the fencing, to the SPCA volunteers at the gate. It wouldn’t have been possible without everyone coming together like they did,” said Lisa.

“We thank everyone for supporting our event and for making a difference to the welfare of the animals in our care,” said Toti SPCA manager, Tracey Girling. “A huge thank you to Carbon Pixie for organising such a fantastic event for us. See you all at the summer one in December.”
