Child protection message shared with educators

The programme was aimed at providing school facilitators with information and skills on child protection and safety issues.

Kingsburgh Child and Family Welfare Society hosted an AECI-funded child protection programme at its Warner Beach offices on Tuesday, 26 April.

“The programme was aimed at providing school facilitators with information and skills on child protection and safety issues,” said senior social worker, Sandra Govender.

“This programme is designed to provide creche facilitators or educators with information regarding child protection, create awareness in the community regarding child abuse, decrease the number of children at risk and encourage ECD centres to work with social welfare and the department of social welfare.”
