Toti songbird amped for talent showcase

Adelei Jade is willing to perform at weddings, functions, shows, festivals or any event to raise funds for her trip.

Toti song bird Adelei Jade will perform at the International Arts Talent Showcase (IATS) at Silver Star Casino in Johannesburg on 7 and 8 October.

She was selected after impressing judges at the regionals on 12 March at Sibaya Casino. “I was thrilled when I heard I was selected and I can’t wait to perform at the showcase,” said the 28-year-old who moved to Toti from Rustenberg nine months ago.

Acting, modelling, singing and dancing at the showcase provides a platform for new faces and talent to audition in front of agents, managers, casting directors, network and Broadway representatives, and music producers.

International talent scout and director of the Arts Convention in Orlando Florida, Kim Myers will be on the lookout at the showcase for new talent to represent South Africa.

“The Arts Convention is the place where connections are made, so I hope I do well and impress her,” said Adelei, who will be invited to perform in the USA if she impresses.

“Opportunities become available to artists at the showcase. Seminars, workshops and panel discussions are conducted by agents and industry professionals, who can give me relevant instructions and advice about the industry.

The showcase has opened international doors for many South African artists who are currently working in Los Angeles and New York.”

Adelei is so confident she will make the cut to perform overseas, she has started to fundraise for her trip, which will be in late October. However, she needs the Toti public’s help. She is willing to perform at weddings, functions, shows, festivals or any event to raise funds for her trip.

Adelei is a dynamic, versatile and vibrant vocalist with a strong, powerful voice. Her music is a blend of styles such as pop rock, Afrikaans and English. Her first album was released in September, which is on sale to help with her fundraising efforts.
