Pregnant woman among 16 hurt in multiple car crash

Two cars and two taxis collided

A woman passenger who is days away from giving birth was among the 16 people injured in a multiple vehicle collission on the N2 about 500m before the Seadoone Road off-ramp on Thursday night, 24 March.

At about 7.40pm, Netcare 911 paramedics responded to the crash site, where they found two taxis and two cars had collided. The wreckages were in the breakdown lanes of the highway. After triaging the injured, they found 16 people had sustained minor injuries, one of whom was nine months pregnant.

Paramedics treated the injured at the scene before transporting them to various hospitals.
