Welfare cans art competition

The society has been unable to secure a suitable venue to enable us to display 1,000 paintings.

Kingsburgh Child Family Welfare Society regrets there will be no children’s art competition this year.

“The society has been unable to secure a suitable venue to enable us to display 1,000 paintings,” said chairman of Kingsburgh Child and Family Welfare, Jenny Smith.

“We sincerely regret this very popular income-generating project had to be withdrawn from Welfare’s calendar.

For the past 25 years we have generated interest and family enjoyment, seeing your children’s artwork displayed in a public place. It was never about winning prizes, but rather about awareness of child welfare and the knowledge that the donations from the artwork does so much in our community.”

For any information on the society, contact Jenny on 031-916-2274 or 073-802-4712.
