Falling gate injures boy (8)

AN EIGHT-year-old scholar arriving home after school in Umkomaas on Tuesday afternoon, 8 March, was taken to hospital when a gate fell on him.

Netcare 911 paramedics found the child had sustained moderate injuries. They stabilized him before taking him to hospital.

Reports from the scene indicate the boy arrived back from school, opened the sliding driveway gate, which somehow derailed and while he was walking through, fell onto him.
