Show commitment to Toti crime fight

Whether you live in a freestanding home, a complex, a flat, or own a business, please show your sense of commitment to your community by joining the CCPO.

EDITOR – On Thursday night, 7 January 2016, a friend and I were concerned about the wellbeing of an elderly parishioner from our church who lives alone and whom we had been unable to contact during the day.

We decided to ask the Community Crime Prevention Organisation (CCPO) to accompany my friend (who was also concerned about her own safety while checking an unfamiliar property at night) to the woman’s home. Thankfully the only problem was the woman’s landline being out of order.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to Fran Cole and Wayne Smerdon of the CCPO for acting beyond their call of duty. Bless you.

For anyone in the community who still has any doubts about the commitment of the CCPO staff, think again as this is only one of the many acts of kindness they have performed. No questions were asked about whether the person is a CCPO member, but it was later confirmed that she is.

Whether you live in a freestanding home, a complex, a flat, or own a business, please show your sense of commitment to your community by joining the CCPO. We owe it to each other. We also need to show the CCPO that we acknowledge the fact that they put their lives on the line for us on a daily basis and that collectively we are committed in our support of the organisation.

More support means more guards patrolling!
