A pedestrian was killed on the R102, near the Umgababa railway station on Monday afternoon, 11 January.
“According to reports from the scene, a woman in her 60s was trying to cross the road when she landed in front of a vehicle travelling towards Umkomaas.
When medics arrived, they found the woman lying face down in the northbound lane. Tragically, it was found she died before our arrival due to the extensive injuries she sustained,” said Netcare 911 media liaison, Chris Botha.
