Eight injured in bakkie, car crash
Passengers on the back of the bakkie were flung several metres after impact.
EIGHT people sustained moderate injuries after a bakkie and car crashed at the intersection of the R102 and Umgababa Road on Sunday evening, 3 January.
“A bakkie transporting eight people crashed head-on with a car, the passengers on the back of the bakkie was flung several metres after impact.
After triaging the injured it was found that eight people had sustained moderate injuries and were found lying on the roadway several metres from the wreckages. Medics treated the injured before transporting them to a hospital in Umlazi,” said Netcare 911 media liaison, Chris Botha.
The crash will be investigated by police.
