Committed constables bid farewell at Toti SAPS

They are moving to the UAE.

AFTER eight years of serving the community via Toti SAPS, Det Cst Pearl Dunn and Cst Nokusa Myeza have resigned and are moving to Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, where they have accepted positions in the VIP Protection Unit.

Csts Dunn and Myeza joined the police service in 2006, trained at the Chatsworth Training College and completed their field training at Isipingo SAPS. During her training Cst Dunn achieved runner-up awards in academics and shooting.

She joined Toti SAPS in 2007 and in August of the same year she was transferred to the Toti detective branch, where she performed duties as an investigating officer until Monday, 30 November.

“She has completed a lot of courses within her field and was named the top achiever in her class during a three-month course in resolving crime. She has a degree in policing and secured many convictions ranging from five to 23 years’ imprisonment,” said Toti SAPS communications officer, Capt Charlene van der Spuy.

“I have made a lot of friends and bonded with the Toti community that I served for the past eight years. I really loved what I was doing and I am sad to leave the organisation that has taught me so much, but feel the time has come for a new challenge,” said Cst Dunn.

Cst Myeza also joined Toti SAPS in 2007. She was attached to the visible policing component and performed duties in the community service centre and crime prevention unit.

From 2013, she worked as a crime analyst in the crime intelligence component.

“Working for the SA Police Service has been the best life experience I have had and I thank God for the opportunity to have served the Amanzimtoti community. I have learned a lot during my time as a police officer and believe it to be a platform that was built for where I am going.”

The management and members of Amanzimtoti SAPS are sad to be losing them, as they will be sorely missed. They wish them well in their future endeavours.
