Scarves, beanies sought by Lions

They will be handed out to the needy at Easter.

FOR the past few years, Kingsburgh Lions Club has appealed to the public to assist with donations of scarves and beanies for the needy and less fortunate.

The service organisaiton continues the campaign and in the past, they received wonderful community response to this appeal and it hopes to surpass previous collections.

“We hand these out at Easter, sometimes with Easter eggs, depending on our funds. The communities of Amanzimtoti and Kingsburgh have always been generous and hard-working in assisting us to knit or crochet these articles. Over the years, hundreds of children have benefitted from this annual campaign,” said project co-ordinator, Lion Gwen Eaglestone.

“We can collect from our supporters or they can leave the articles at Patches at Seadoone Mall, clearly marked for Lions.”
