Stop illegal car guards

Rather dish out biscuits, noodles or packet soups, instead of a financial remuneration to fund their addictions.

Sapphire Coast Tourism (SCT) appeals to residents to help clean up Beach Road and stop illegal car guards operating in Toti.

“We want the public to stop funding the illegal car guard trade,” said SCT chairman, Kim McCarthy.

“Drug trafficking, pimping prostitutes, stealing from business outlets, and loiterers squatting in every available building and bush is not the face of Amanzimtoti we want to market. However, until people realise that while they’re providing financial remuneration to these men, they will continue to own and run our streets. We are facilitating this problem, nobody else.

We want the public to stop funding the illegal car guard trade

We fully support our police, beach law enforcement and security companies on this stance.

We appeal to the public to apply their minds to this matter to rather dish out biscuits, noodles or packet soups, instead of a financial remuneration to fund their addictions.

The gist of our appeal is find interim resolve to work out the troublemakers from our streets, while we find a solution with the business sector to assist the folk who genuinely need help.”

NOTE: Not all carguards are drug addicts or illegal
