Adams N2 upgrade is for future toll road

EDITOR – Ted Holden is absolutely correct to say that SANRAL is not to be trusted.

The upgrade will definitely be for the future toll road from Isipingo to East London.

The so-called pedestrian bridge will be the gantry for all the cameras and trapping equipment. We assume that the upgrade is tied in with the future dug out port for containers at the old airport site.

There are those who will remember the dune mining that took place at Umgababa many years back and the pollution into the sea, the huge recreation area at Umgababa reported by those who knew it, as the finest pub on the South Coast. Eventually the dune mining was shut down as was the recreation area. Maybe there is someone still around who will remember and what the minerals were that were being mined?
