Several municipal projects are scheduled to commence in ward 97.
The R102 from the Auracaria, Gordon and Kingsway intersection up to Illovo River bridge will be resurfaced.
Six roads are scheduled for light rehabilitation that include sealing, patching, chip and spray:
Commercial road between the N2 offramp near the post office to Civic Road, where KFC used to be; Wanda Cele (Old Main) from Riverside across the bridge to Aloe Road; Mayville Terrace;
Rockview Road from Boundary Lane to the Kingsway intersection; Topham Road; Beach Road between Cruikshank and Inyoni Rocks Crescent.
The corroded sewer line leading to the wastewater pump station number two at the Subway and Kingsway intersection in Warner Beach will be replaced.
“Residents are requested to be patient to allow work to be completed within expected time frames,” said ward 97 councillor, Andre Beetge.
