Shoebox project pledges halfway there

Get involved to spread cheer among needy children.

TOTI residents have opened their hearts to the Santa Shoebox Project and have so far pledged 300 boxes out of 531 boxes required from the community.

If you want to spread a Christmas cheer among children, who otherwise would go without a gift during the festive season, this is the perfect opportunity for you to come on board.

Visit www.santashoebox.org.za to get involved in the project, which is themed ‘giving for good’.

Gift boxes have to be filled according to guidelines provided on the website and include some practical necessities such as toothpaste and toothbrush, face cloth and soap, sweets, educational supplies, a toy and an item of clothing.

The Toti drop-off zone is the 1st Amanzimtoti Scouts, 4 Drake Road on Thursday and Friday, 29 and 30 October from 8am to 4pm and Saturday, 31 October from 9am to 2pm.

If anyone would like to volunteer or donate, visit www.santashoebox.org.za or contact local project co-ordinator, Liana Erlank on 082-612-7772 for more information.
