UPDATE: Still no news on missing Toti teen

Family has received reports of him being spotted in Empangeni.

THERE is still no firm news on the whereabouts of Toti’s Jonathan van den Berg who disappeared from his Old Main Road home on Saturday evening, 19 September.

However, his mother, Sally has received reports of him been spotted in various areas.

“We received confirmation from his former school friends that he was in Empangeni on Sunday, 20 September. We also received a report of him being in the company of an older woman. They went into a shop where he was recognised. The shopkeeper gave him fruit and told him to come back today (Tuesday, 22 September). We have sent through more photos for the shopkeeper to confirm if it is Jonathan because the woman told him they were going to sleep over in a shelter,” said his mother Sally Schulze.

Another report the family received stated Jonathan had been seen standing on John Ross Highway on Monday, 21 September holding a piece of cardboard which had Pretoria written on it.
