SATURDAY, 5 SEPTEMBER: Kingsburgh Lions Club will do diabetes testing at Pick n Pay Hypermarket at Arbor Crossing from 9am until 11am. All are welcome.

SATURDAY,5 SEPTEMBER: Birdlife Port Natal hosts an outing to Durban Botanic Gardens 7.15am. At the end of the walk, they will partake of the culinary delights at the kiosk. Call Lesley on 083-231-3408.

SATURDAY, 5 SEPTEMBER: ‘Awakening your awareness’ day of individual topics and speakers at the Sanctuary of the Great White Light, 9 Barrow Road, Umkomaas from 9am until 3.30pm. The aim is to enlighten people.

There will be several speakers discussing items such as angels, spiritual healing and various other subjects. There will be a light lunch, meditation and refreshments available. If you would like to attend or for queries, call Gayle on 084-357-4944. All are welcome.

SATURDAY, 5 SEPTEMBER: Toti Toastmasters Club meets at 8.30am at Amanzimtoti Country Club. Increase your communication and leadership skills in an encouraging environment. Anyone is welcome to attend as a guest. A scrumptious buffet breakfast is served at a cost of R50 per person. SUNDAY, 6 SEPTEMBER: After a sabbatical of 18 months, entertainer Colin Penn and his Pennants, Mike Cameron and John Corlett are planning a fun show of the best snippets of Colin’s 61-year career, at Toti Civic Centre supper room. SATURDAY, 19 SEPTEMBER: KZN Badminton hosts a women’s pamper day at the NBA Hall in Cobham Grove. Cost is R250, which includes two treatments, snacks and tea and coffee.

MONDAY 21 SEPTEMBER: Next SAARP outing to Durban to go on the Ricksha bus at a cost of R50 per pensioner. Members are to meet at the civic centre at 7.45am to organise transport.
