Fundraise to help children’s home

Companies, schools and churches can host a variety of activities to raise money.

MOTHER of Peace (MOP) needs the community’s help, to raise its profile and host fundraising activities to support its day-to-day operations.

Help its children, many of whom have been abandoned, orphaned or abused, become proactive and intentional about the future, by showing them how.

Here are ways to get family and friends, companies and colleagues together to help

Companies (fundraising activities at the office):

* Team building;

* Bake sales;

* Bingo, pictionary, trivia with a memory pot for donations.

* Office raffle with prizes;

* Bid for lunch with the boss or be boss for the day;

* Offer to be a colleague’s personal assistant, for a large donation;

* For a fee, employees can dress casual for work;

* Organise an event, tea party, dance-off, singing contest;

* Care giving;

* Employees visit MOP to learn about its work in a programme catered to your organisational goals;

* Become a big brother or big sister or take a child to work day;

* Take individual children from MOP to your office, to expose them to ‘a day in the life of’.

Institutions (schools, churches):

* Host children to classes, activities, sports and games;

* Host children to a field trip with their peers from another school to places of interest;
