And then there were two – only two die-hard finalists are still in the running to win a car in the Galleria Mall live inside and win the ride competition.
Five finalists – Stephan Coetser, Lynn Pillay, Nokwanda Makhaye, Trisha Naidoo and Jacques Kruger – took their seats inside the car at about 12.30pm on Friday, 7 August, in a bid to outlast the other to win a car.
The first to leave was Trisha, who only lasted the first weekend, followed by Stephan, who left on Saturday, 15 August after he spoke to someone outside the car – a rule which is strictly enforced.
“Lynn also spoke to a shopper in error on Tuesday, 17 August and had to leave,” said Galleria marketing manager, Anusha Timul. “Just two words ‘good morning’ cost her the car.
Jacques and Nokwanda are still in the car and they are both amped to drive off in it, so only time will tell who will ultimately win.”
The pair have now been living in the car for almost three weeks and the one who stays the longest, wins the Datson Go sponsored by Mark White Nissan Amanzimtoti.
If both remain by Monday, 31 August, Galleria will do a lucky draw to see who wins the car.
