Public meetings for Toti water use licence applications

The meetings will provide information and an opportunity to raise concerns.

eTHEKWINI Municipality is submitting an application for a Water Use Licence for the Amanzimtoti Waste Water Treatment Works (AWWTW) in Prospecton and the Kingsburgh Waste WaterTreatment Works (KWWTW) in Kingsburgh with the Department of Water and Sanitation.

Individuals or groups interested in or affected by the project are invited to attend a public meeting.

The meeting for the AWWTW is on Tuesday, 11 August at the Toti Civic Centre supper room at 5.30pm.

A meeting regarding the KWWTW is on Wednesday, 12 August at theToti Civic Centre supper room at 5.30pm.

The meetings will provide interested and affected parties (I&APs) with information regarding the water use licence application and will provide them with an opportunity to raise any issues or concerns.

The comment period is from 23 July to 23 September.

Should you not be able to attend the meeting, register as an I&AP by submitting your name, contact information and interest in the project to Phelamanga, the independent public participation consultant.
