SAPS has confirmed that one man was shot in Prospecton.
“We can confirm that at about 12.30pm a shooting took place in Isipingo, where members of the SAPS received information of a suspected vehicle,” said Colonel Jay Naicker of the SAPS KZN media centre.
“Members spotted the vehicle and gave chase. Shooting took place between members and the suspects where one suspect was shot and the rest abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene on foot.
Two attempted murder cases, possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition were opened at Isipingo SAPS for investigation. The arrested suspect will appear in court soon.”
