FRIDAY, 31 JULY: Probus Amanzimtoti Social Club monthly meeting at 9.20am for 10am in Umbogavango Nature Reserve. Regret no pets are allowed in the park.

Visitors and members are requested to take their own cups, meat, salads and refreshments for a bring-and-braai after the meeting. Interested visitors can call Sharon-Ann on 083-312-5360 by Wednesday, 29 July at the latest, as to gain entrance to the nature reserve the gate security will check your name against their security list.

 

SATURDAY, 1 AUGUST: Birdlife Port Natal outing to Vumbuka Nature Reserve in Amanzimtoti at 6.15am. Only 15 cars and 30 people are allowed. To secure your booking, call Elena on 083-583-6824, and take along a picnic basket.

 

SUNDAY, 2 AUGUST: Upper South Coast Art Association (USCAA) artists will meet at Illovo Nursery Animal Farm to sketch the reptiles and animals from 2pm to 4pm. The public are welcome to take sketch paper and pencils or pens and join in. There are plenty of water birds and plants as well at this fabulous venue. This is proving to be a very successful outing for people interested in art and enables them to sketch at a different place around Toti every month, which is safe and near to a tea garden.

 

MONDAY, 3 AUGUST: Cottage Patch Quilters Guild hosts its monthly meeting at 9.15am in Amanzimtoti library’s activity room.

MONDAY, 3 AUGUST: Kingsburgh Lions meeting is held on the second Monday of each month at the St Mary’s Church hall, Warner Beach at 2.30pm.

SATURDAY, 8 AUGUST: Under the Tree Pre-Primary School hosts a family fun day and craft market in aid of Kingsburgh Child and Family Welfare Society at Wavecrest Holiday Resort, opposite Illovo Nursery in Elizabeth Avenue, Illovo Beach. Gates open at 10am and fun activities continue until 4pm. It is open to the public and there is no entrance fee. If you have arts and crafts to sell, or any interesting items, contact Esta on 082-307-4685. Tables cost R100 each.

 

WEDNESDAY, 26 AUGUST: Lodge Donoughmore meets at 4pm. Anyone interested in attending, call John Hamilton on 083-229-5821.
