‘Menimore in store for house music lovers

Songs have been downloaded in Ireland, England, France and Ghana.

LOCAL singer, songwriter and producer, Sipho Gumbi, ‘Menimore’ is becoming popular for his new age sounds in house music circles.

In 2014, he broke out with hits like Year 2014, Happy but sad, Love spiritually and In my world, which were downloaded in numbers in Ireland, England, France and Ghana.

This year he released a single called Sentimental which earned him praise from many international DJs’ including renowned DJ Renay.

Menimore who hails from Ezimbokodweni has now released his much anticipated EP, Enjoy the moment, which is available at Amazon.com, rdio.com, jango.com and will soon be available through itunes and Apple Music.

“My interest in music started around the age of 10. I mainly listened to underground music and hip-hop,” said a humble Sipho.

Inspired by producer, DJ Phoo he persevered, in spite of ‘not feeling music’ at one stage.

“In October 2014, I became re-energised and focused and was able bring out tracks which have done well. It’s a good feeling that my music is out there.”

Sipho now intends to work with musicians from Umgababa and Felikise and ‘share their knowledge’.

One day, he would like to pursue music full-time. But for now, in between working as an assistant at a clothing store, he intends to spend as much time he can making music, including pursuing tracks focusing more on vocals.

A creative person, Sipho’s other interest is fashion, and when he finds the time he enjoys sewing.

If anyone would like to get involved with Sipho musically, contact his manager, Khul Gumbi on 084-033-2918 or 084-626-6690.
