Burglars behind bars

A man was collared by the CCPO carrying two laptops on Seadoone Road.

Two housebreakers are behind bars this week, thanks to the Community Crime Prevention Organisation (CCPO).

According to CCPO operations manager, Leon Joone, they received a complaint from a home-owner in Bhengu Road about a loiterer at about noon on Tuesday, 7 July.

“A description of the man was given to my members, who picked him up and took him to Toti SAPS for further investigation,” he said. The man had an outstanding warrant for housebreaking where a plasma TV was stolen. Toti SAPS are investigating further.

In a separate incident, a man was collared by the CCPO carrying two laptops on Seadoone Road in the early hours of Monday morning, 6 July.

“Further investigation revealed he had broken into an aluminium and glass company in Main Road in Doonside. He was arrested by Toti SAPS,” said Leon.
