Artists urge support of mall exhibition

It's your chance to buy an original painting.

A VARIETY of paintings are on sale at an exhibition hosted by the Upper South Coast Art Association (USCAA) at Seadoone Mall, which officially opened on Monday, 29 June.

Some 134 works in oil, watercolours, pastels and acrylics can be purchased by the public until Monday, 6 July.

“The paintings are affordable and there are a variety to choose from such as flowers, portraits, seascapes, landscapes, underwater scenes and more,” said USCAA president Patricia McCann.

Twenty-two artists from Toti, Umkomaas and Scottburgh have specifically painted for this exhibition.

Beautiful watercolour cards can also be bought. “We are also raffling a watercolour donated by Bulah van Rooyen. Proceeds from the raffle will go to Jona Vaughan Home, as we have always supported a charity at our exhibitions.”

Raffle tickets can be purchased at the exhibition, from 9am to 5pm.

“We have had good support in the past and look forward to the same this time round.”
