First aid training on hand locally

Participants are needed.

KINGSBURGH Child and Family Welfare Society is looking for participants for a first aid training programme.

“It’s critical to build first aid skills that enable people to respond confidently in a life-threatening situation. You could be the difference between life and death,” said senior social worker, Sandra Govender.

The society plans to conduct a first aid training programme as part of its skills development initiative. The programme comprises level one first aid training over two days. Certificates will be valid for three years and are SETA, Department of Labour and MERSETA accredited.

Those who are part of a crèche or school facility and requires the training, have to register with welfare for first aid training focusing specifically for medical emergencies related to children.

If interested and as there is a limited number of spots available, contact Sandra or Janette on 031-916-2274 or 031-916-3007 to book.

Welfare is also running domestic violence and victim empowerment training programmes. Help yourself or someone you love deal with domestic violence.
